The rōnin roamed the countryside, free from commitment, devoid of favour or privilege, a wanderer without a home. He served no master and feared nothing on earth, his heart as free as a bird and his mind as clear as the morning breeze.

In the spirit of the rōnin Dark. Descent. will host a recurring gathering of artists with an according mindset, genre-defying outcasts with a unique vision.

In quick succession to the outstanding debut of this collection series comes the second gathering of musical mavericks: Sidephex and Dark. Descent. label head The Relic each present their unique approach of industrial hardcore with a big techno influence, with some quirky “Jukebox” sounds and a fiercely sinister drop in The Relic’s contemplation of his “Former Self”; Exome (aka one half of Italian duo Synaptic Memories) contributes a tribal-tinged rhythm noise crossover track; and Mexican producer C-[Phalea] closes this chapter with a brave rave-scented banger.
