When mysterious producer Mute. returned from retirement in 2018 he took experimentation to the max – „Sorrow's Shapeless Rhyme“ was a daring 23 minute soundscape/rhythm collision.
“Kindness” follows in the footpath of this deeply atmospheric, soundtrackish piece, albeit in a bit more condensed (and almost entirely beatless) way: 15 minutes of urban melancholy, moody strings, muffled vocals weeping with desire and despair. Authentic Dark. Descent. style – surely without anything “core”, but music is about attitude, isn’t it?
